Customer Information

Product Guarantee & Consumer Rights

Swingstra is committed to supplying products that are carefully made and suitable for their intended purpose. Our products come with consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law, products supplied to consumers come with automatic consumer guarantees. These include guarantees relating to acceptable quality, safety, durability and fitness for any disclosed purpose.

These rights cannot be excluded, restricted or replaced by Swingstra's own policies.

Timber Construction

Swingstra timber products are constructed with care using selected timber and appropriate structural components. If you believe there is a defect in the materials or construction of your product, please contact us so that we can assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.

Suspension Hardware

Where supplied as part of your Swingstra product, suspension components such as stainless-steel chains, quick links and eye bolts are also subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.

Installation

Correct installation is essential for the safe use of a swing. Swingstra products must be attached to a structurally suitable supporting structure using appropriate mounting methods and hardware.

Where installation is not performed by Swingstra, problems caused or contributed to by incorrect installation, an unsuitable supporting structure, inappropriate mounting hardware, unauthorised modification or misuse are not product defects attributable to Swingstra.

This does not limit any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.

Natural Timber Characteristics

Timber is a natural material and each piece is unique. Natural differences in grain, colour and pattern are expected. Environmental exposure may also cause timber to gradually change in appearance over time.

A natural timber characteristic or normal change in appearance does not necessarily mean that the product is defective.

Care & Maintenance

Appropriate care and maintenance help preserve the appearance, condition and performance of timber and suspension hardware. Customers should regularly inspect their swing, supporting structure, chains, quick links, eye bolts and other connection points and address any signs of damage, excessive wear, loosening or deterioration before further use.

If There Is a Problem

If you believe a Swingstra product has a fault or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, please stop using the product where continued use may be unsafe and contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask for your order details, photographs and information about the product, installation and issue so that we can properly assess the matter.
